[SQUAWK] The smallest Airbus at Zagreb Airport
Written by: Jan Kotek.
Romanian flag air carrier TAROM Romanian Airlines (RO/ROT), the member of SkyTeam Alliance, has arrived on Monday early morning, February 22nd, on the flight number RO5551 from Bucharest to Zagreb. It was a charter flight with Romanian sports team, which will stay at Zagreb Airport until the return of athletes back to Romania. They arrived with Airbus A318 (in the pictures), the smallest aircraft type of Airbus.
TAROM has taken up 4 of these planes in 2006 and 2007 as a replacement for cancelled order for 2 Airbus A330s. Beside Tarom, 18 of these planes are operated on regular flights only by Air France (AF/AFR). Beside these 22 planes in Europe there are only several more planes in the World as private, or operated by bizjet air companies in VIP versions.
