Written by Jan Kotek.
An Airbus A320 aircraft of the German air carrier Sundair (SR/SDR) arrived on an unscheduled flight on Monday, February 1st, under the flight designation SDR62DF from Berlin to Zagreb. This is not the first time that Sundair has come to Zagreb. Since the autumn of last year, Sundair is occasionally coming for service and maintaince of its aircraft at Croatia Airlines (OU/CTN).
This aircraft, with registration number D-ANNA (in the picture) wears a special colorful sheme called "Katta macht Urlaub". It was bulit in 2007 for the German air carrier Air Berlin (AB / BER), where it was in service for only two years with the D-ABDS registration. Then it was in the fleet of French air carrier Aigle Azur (ZI / AAF) with F-HBIB registration until the French air carrier went bankrupt in 2019. It is now in Sundair fleet since last year.
Sundair was founded in 2017 with its main operational base in Berlin. They currently have 5 Airbus A320s and 2 smaller Airbus A319s in their fleet. Recently, Sundair announced its first regular routes to Croatia, namely from Berlin and Düsseldorf to Brač island.
